DhammĀlaya, meaning 'Abode of Dhamma', is serenely set in 22 acres of State Park Zone land, with a view of blue hills, green fields and sounds of mewing of peacocks and other bird song. The centre was established in year 2000 and since then it has been offering 10 Day Vipassana courses regularly for about 100-150 old & new students per course.

The centre is 5 kms from Hatkanangale bus station and 6.5 kms from Hatkananglale Railway station where all trains from Mumbai and Pune halt.

The centre consists of a fan shaped Dhamma Hall that can comfortably accommodate 250 students, and a pagoda with 153 cells.

There are two teachers’ rooms and a mini hall each on both male and female side. Presently on male side there are 18 single accommodation rooms and 36 double accommodation rooms. On female side there are 12 single accommodation rooms and 26 double accommodation rooms.

There is a spacious well-equipped kitchen and separate dining halls for teachers and male / female students.

Currently a new dedicated area exclusively to be used for long courses is being developed. This is planned for 50 students. Once completed long courses & old student courses will be schedules there throughout the year.

In the next phase a dedicated short children courses and teenager courses facility for 50 students is proposed to be developed.
